Okay, I feel like y’all request I translate/review TJ’s songs because you want me to just…go to town. But I’m starting to feel a little bad, because, I mean, I don’t WANT to make fun of him, especially if he’s trying really hard…but sometimes he just makes it so easy… It was so hard for me not to turn this song off after ten seconds after that beginning “Yeah, I’m bad”… Sorry, if you have to tell people you’re bad, you’re not really bad, unless by “bad” you mean “bad at something,” like bad at not being unintentionally hilarious. Also, it’s so awkward for me to watch him rap, because his face and one side of his mouth does this thing where one side will tense and move while the other stays motionless. He looks like a partially-paralyzed stroke victim or something. BUT the beginning opening and facial expressions aside, THIS SONG ACTUALLY ISN’T BAD! The lyrics are unique and poetic and have a point, and aren’t vulgar or awkward like TJ’s past attempts. I like both the beat and his voice in this. I thought the music video was visually interesting and well-put-together, with the cartoon animated overlays and costume changes (Although is it really necessary for him to be on the toilet blurring out his junk? And that cop uniform at the end made him look like a ghetto male stripper). The only thing I could have really lived without was Thaitanium’s little rap, as I really don’t want to hear about what drugs you do, and did he really mean physically hit his ex in that line about “let me hit you one more time and make you smile”? So yeah, TJ would have been better off on his own for this one, I think. But all in all I think this is a definite step up from the last songs of his you made me translate :’D
